CURRENCY IN JERUSALEM PROPERTY PURCHASES
Israeli resale property prices are quoted in either US dollars or New Israeli Shekels. Prices for new construction are stated in New Israeli Shekels.
 
 
NUMBER OF ROOMS
The number of rooms is usually given as the number of bedrooms plus the living room; for example, 3 bedrooms + LR = a 4-room apartment.
Kitchen and bathroom(s) are not included in the room count, although they are counted as part of the square meterage (shetach).
When a property is described as, for example, 4.5 rooms, the “half room” may be a small bedroom or study or, alternatively, a large hall.

In Israel, the 1st floor (koma rishona) is considered one flight up from the ground floor (komat karka).
